This document sets forth the terms on which the Confederation of Farmers of Portugal, headquartered at Rua Mestre Lima de Freitas, 1549-012, Lisboa and holder of the fiscal and identification of legal person number 501 155 350, treats the information collected and used in its applications. All these rules are in accordance with national law.
The Confederation of Farmers of Portugal protects the privacy of its users and readers as well as the personal data submitted by them, being responsible for the site www.cap.pt (hereinafter "the Site") and the CAP News application (hereinafter " Application ") available on the Apple Store and Google Play.
1) Information collected
The Confederation of Farmers of Portugal collects two types of information: personal information and anonymous information. Anonymous information is collected when the user visits the Site and aims to improve the operation of the Site, including content management and prioritization. Personal information is provided voluntarily by the user upon optional registration. All data collected is processed automatically and the information sent by the users is encrypted and managed with advanced security.
Registration is for the user to access the subscription services of the newsletter, pre-enrollment in courses, application to become a CAP member, application to participate in university competitions and other functions made available by the Confederation of Farmers of Portugal to their community.
The data collected are used in the following ways: identification of community/user members; management of permissions to send communications via e-mail; records management; management of topics and sections; management of the CAP member application process; process of pre-registration in CAP courses, management of the process of the CAP Young Farmers Competition.
2) Responsibility
The collection of personal data on the Site and in the Application is the sole responsibility of the Portuguese Farmers' Confederation, which agrees to not provide personal information of users of the Site to third parties without the proper authorization of the holders of such information.
The Confederation of Farmers of Portugal is not responsible for the content accessed through any hyperlink that causes the user to navigate outside the domain of www.cap.pt, whenever such links are the responsibility of third parties.
The Confederation of Farmers of Portugal uses various forms of technological protection against cyber-attacks to acquire the users’ personal information.
3) Unauthorized Access to Database
The unauthorized access or attempted unauthorized access of databases through the Site or the Application will result in the initiation of legal proceedings against the offender(s).
4) Updates / Maintenance of personal information
By using the Site or the Application, you agree to provide and keep your personal information current and true.
Updating the user / reader information can be done through the Application or through links available in the Newsletters emails where the user can change or add information.
The Confederation of Farmers of Portugal shall keep and maintain, for the required period, the information / data of the users until directed to otherwise.
